Our part is the platform and admin work agreed with you during commercial discovery. It doesn’t mean dedicated staff, open-ended event or content creation and moderation, marketing, sales or member acquisition, and any response times are set in your agreement.

Monthly active users are members who actively use the platform during a typical month.

How the estimate works

Two figures, built from your choices

Every engagement is scoped individually. The estimate shows the scale of a project like yours before we talk.

  1. Estimated launch

    A one-off figure: setting the platform up for you, plus how far the product changes. On Socialize, that is any extended functionality; for a platform of your own, the customisation and the features you choose.

  2. Ongoing platform

    A monthly fee per active member for the platform, set by who hosts it, with a minimum monthly platform fee. If we help operate it, that is added on top at its own rate, with its own monthly minimum.

  3. Volume pricing

    Each further band of members is priced lower than the one before, and only the members inside a band get its rate, so the fee grows gradually as your community does.

Platform fees cover running, maintaining and supporting the platform. New features beyond the agreed scope are planned and quoted separately.

About the estimate

Is this a quotation?

No. It is an initial guide to the scale of a project like yours, based on the scope you selected. Your proposal follows once we have agreed the requirements, implementation scope, infrastructure and operating responsibilities.

What counts as a monthly active user?

A monthly active user is a unique registered member who actively uses the platform at least once during that month. Members who have an account but don’t use the platform that month aren’t counted.

What does it mean when you help operate the platform?

We take on platform and admin work agreed with you, such as configuration, category and event setup, partner administration, notifications and content. The scope is defined during commercial discovery and in your agreement; it doesn’t include dedicated staff, marketing, sales or growing your membership.

Why does the ongoing price become custom at the top of the scale?

For the largest communities, we agree the architecture and the commercial model with you rather than from the standard rates. The launch estimate still gives you a guide.
